More selectable avatars.

Yeah, there's not many I want to use. And I'm getting tired of Sektor. Some Warcraft III or something avatars would be badass.

By the way, am I even be allowed to choose from a list of avatars? I mean, the potion is there.

Yeah, You can still choose from a set of generic avatars. My best suggestion to you would be to make some avatars based on a game yourself (say, make 5 or 6 from Warcraft III) and post them here. Maybe Shane will upload them. I did that before.

Going by the fact that you can have a custom avatar by donating, it seems unlikely for the admins to expand the range of selectable avatars. Selectable avatars are meant to be very limited so that you get that feeling of "Gee....these avatars suck. I think I'll donate so I can make my own!" Oh yeah, gonna donate once every three months cuz I'm a cool guy like that.

It's called Las Vegas.

Anyways, I think the real reason that Shane only uses the generic avatars is because that's the best you can get unless you can splurge a little.

SILENCE. Err, I mean, here's a few.

Sorry for how are pretty small and facing a crappy way, but I like them.

Oh, and Night Elves not included because they annoy me.

"OMG U GUYZ KILL CENARIUS"
"Um, you guys attacked first."
'SO WAHT U GUYZ KILL CENARIUS"

Damned white space!

I'm sorry, but I don't see it happening. If we just showed Shane our ideas for avatars so he could make them generic then the benefits from donating would be useless and in turn people would donate less if at all.

Yes, because all donating gives you is an avatar. No signatures or anything.

And I'm suggesting just a few small avatars, not a huge amount of them.

Signatures and avatars (and even, occasionally, custom titles/captions) are free features on other forums. I don't see the point in donating for a free service provided elsewhere, nor do I see Shane uploading too many more free avatars, 'cause then that nukes his incentive to make people donate.

Of course, no harm in throwing around some more possible avatars for Shane to upload; just saying he has no real incentive to put them up, and if you care about them a lot, then go get Greasemonkey and set it to show your avatar of choice whenever you look at VGF.

That's just my two dimes about it. I would go on, but I've had that discussion about it. Nobody here was interested.
