Just putting this out there before anybody jumps on this guy (either because of his opinions or because of who he is). |

The forums haven't always been this inactive, and there's no guarantee they always will be. 2. Others may disagree, but I personally like that unrelated topics are relegated to their own boards. I consider it a time-saver not to have to wade through a bunch of threads I don't care about, which is something I'd have to do if, say, they combined all the 'entertainment' boards, for instance. |

People violently attacked me for even questioning it. Buut since you don't seem to plan on doing that this time... The first thing I would say needs to go are member forums. Mostly dead and mostly empty, they don't really need to clutter the forum layout. The one or two which are active can just be made normal forums. Starting from the bottom.. the 'Parents' forum is overlapped by some others in content, and is inactive. I doubt we really need that one. Things that Suck and Venting are practically the same. I don't see how it'd be impossible to merge them, but I dunno. The Battle Board serves primarily to waste space; I am unsure if it really has any purpose when you have a more mature version of it sitting right above it. Something should be done about the problematic status of which forum is the best place to speak about Mario. Honestly, Sean Kelly answers to Shane, not the other way around, and SMBHQ is supposed to be all about Mario. I don't see why he should be allowed to have his own personal dead forum. In that, the Mario: Land of Pipes which was made originally and then the modship of such graciously given to me back when even though I didn't deserve it, should be deleted, and Mario content allowed on the SMBHQ forum, regardless of what Sean Kelly says. I say that part not out of hatred of Sean Kelly, but rather logic. SMBHQ would probably be helped if it had a proper community of people discussing stuff again. Wheras right now it has a dysfunctional emptiness. (Then again, the same logic goes for many Member forums.) And finally, the Guitar Hero forum doesn't seem very lively to me. Now, I will end this with a disclaimer. In the past, I mentioned how there were too many forums, and people yelled at me then, and then I did stupid things in response. This time, if you yell at me, I will not defeat myself so easily. ![]() |

Plus, I'm seeing all sorts of newbies flocking to it... SMBHQ should go, while the other one becomes the "main" Mario forum. Things that Suck=/=Venting Many of the Member Forums should go, mainly the dead ones, like my Capcom forum( ).Point is, there's little reason to get rid of these forums, and getting rid of them would be a big waste of time. |

No, not against your implied denial of deleting forums. I don't really care in that case, 'cause it's your forum. If it were mine and somebody said "Delete X forum" do you think I'd do it either? No! So I have no problem with that. But the whole 'If Metal Man likes it, ...' fad is dead. You're 2 years out of date, Shane. Nappy posts this topic and Wyborn asks people to try to debate it logically. I post my opinion and you insult me. <sarcasm> Do I have to attack the board first to make it stop? </sarcasm> Let's put this whole illogical thing to rest and talk about this like adults, Shane. I was an idiot when I yelled around those years ago, but now I'm not, and if you're going to treat me like one still, it just makes you look immature. Heck, I'll drop whatever fragmentary remnants of my 'Crazy Shane' remarks I used to throw around are left. Of course, if you keep on doing it, it's not going to really slow me down--I just feel it violates the spirit of what Wyborn said up above. |

No one's making any of you go to the Member Forums. In fact, you can minimise the list so that they don't even show up on the forum index. Scroll down to the "Member Forum" header and click on the far right of the page. Now you can all stop complaining about the Member Forums. Now, as for deleting =forums for inactivity? Nah, too much effort. Easier just to let them fester. >:] Quote:
