People spam in the topic until it reaches near what creates a new page. Then it's a race to see who posts and gets that 'top' of the page first.

So, basically, it's based on filling up the topic as fast as possible, and having the right timing with the top.

Ohhhh, I get it now. Seems pointless, and quite similar to an age-old "Top of the Page Dance" running gag from another forum I post at.

It's basically a way to get to know members better and have mindless conversation.

Oh, and some people actually play the game like they're supposed to be. It's really lame.

But that's the thing. WoT is actually ABOUT mindless conversation.

The game playing is actually frowned upon. Indeed, it freaked people out when I took the top once.

Alas, it was not always like that. No indeed, during WoT's glory days, playing the game was everything.
