"imported_"? What?

That's the reason why. A few years back, VGF moved to vBulletin from UBB, and the memberlist was "imported." I'm pretty sure all active members at the time didn't have "imported" added to their name, and all the inactive ones did.

All accounts registered before the server change were imported, thus the part added to your name. Your account must have been inactive at the time, as your join date is December 1969. (29 years before VGF, and 22 years before the internet became available for public use)

Yeah, since it was an involuntary change, they'll probably change it back.

Otherwise, you'll have to do it the new-fangled way and purchase a name change here: http://www.vgf.com/forums/vbplaza.php

Since I believe you used to have an account with a lot more posts, you can ask an admin to merge them.

The imported ones were only reinstated to make some of the old posts have the right user. I'm sure your actual account is here somewhere, with more posts on it.. just like there's 2/3 clones of myself that are old.
