Giving Ribbons

I'm pretty sure before, we were able to give people ribbons (kind of like gifts... but RIBBONS)... but since vbPlaza was reintroduced, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

What's up with that? Is the function still there, or was it removed? Can anyone give ribbons?

"I'm going to raise awareness of [insert cause here] by wearing a colored ribbon!"
Great except that...
A) That doesn't work, and
B) Even if it did work, just making people aware of a cause doesn't mean they have the means to help fix it.

"Ooh, I have a stars & stripes ribbon! I'm a patriotic American!"
No, you're a dope; they already make a piece of cloth in those colors to signify this country; it's called the flag.

"Ooh, my ribbon is so cute!"
Okay, you're just a bleeping moron.

...Sorry, I really don't like the ribbon fad.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Was going to buy a brown ribbon.

It had a buckle on one side and said, "Support our pants."

I think people were abusing it.

Possibly for its status-preventing powers. Like, once, Shane tried to cast silence on Parakarry, and then he was totally not silenced.

^ maybe he had white cape equipped lol

I'm not really worried about giving ribbons to people, though, I was just wondering where it went.

Why the heck do they have ribbons? Nothing is worth it to buy one. There's no reason to buy one.

Yes there is! I remember there being ribbons. I went on once in February and saw a couple. I remember seeing the American one.

Been turned off, I think. No one really liked them; I think there were only maybe a handful of people who bought any without doing so to be ironic or mock the cause. Or something.

(they were just another thing to crowd the page with, so I'm glad they're gone. just like I'm glad the whole weird health status meter thingers are gone. wut.)
