I think gifts can be turned off via the menu. A tab is a good idea, though.
I could care less about the points.

Everything else makes me feel better about myself.

Well yes, except then fewer people will support it.

Thus helping to ensure vertical space is not actually saved and nothing is changed.

Yeah, we could most certainly get rid of point totals and Blog entries.

Its not like anyone builds respect on blogs here.

Of course, I dunno who's in charge of the code. I'd say Shane, but I haven't seen him lately. Except that one time when the server was acting all weird.

Of course, at this point, it's up to the people who control the code to say what is and isn't possible and what they will and won't do, if anything.
