Got me sum avatarz. Cool, no?

Next, I'm thinking about changing the spelling of Zaidon.

I Googled it and found it's already been used as a real name and it's a place in Iraq. This coupled with mispronunciations has me thinking about respelling it.

It's supposed to be pronounced just like "maiden" with a Z. But a lot of people see the "Zai" and think of the way it's said in Japanese, like "zaibutsu". So it comes out like "Zie-don" or "Zie-done".

The easiest and most obvious spelling would be "Zaden". But that's so... plain.

Any suggestions?

If you're trying to get it to rhyme with maiden, just change the O to an E. Zaiden.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

What makes you changing the name to Zaidon?
Agree with CaptHayfever suggestion that do make change in some alphabet and Google it again.

I don't if you read the timestamp right, but this topic is the middle of June last year. It's an innocent enough question, but the moderators here really don't like topic bumping. This means that if you reply to a thread that's really old, it will fly to the top of the forum and push the newer threads downward. So try to post only in recent topics.

"Zaden" is simpler and easier, and I think it makes more sense, so that's what I go by now. There's no confusion about its pronunciation and there's no association with a geographical location. Plus, sometimes you can't use more than five characters.
