i want a avatar but i don't know how.

You have to have more posts and have been here longer to qualify for an avatar.

I don't know exact numbers, since it seems to change often.

First of all, you need to have made a certain number of posts. I can't remember how many, though. Second, you need to earn vbPoints. You get points by posting. You can use these points in the vbPlaza (under the vbPlaza menu at the top of the page) to purchase a variety of things to trick out your user profile, including an avatar.

Since you just got here, it may be a little while before you're able to get an avatar. Just keep posting though, and you'll get there.

OR, you could donate $5 bucks or so to the site and get an avatar right away.

The vBplaza option is defunct, at the moment. If you ask one of the admins (SD or HotD are your best bet) nicely, they might help you out. There will probably be a solution eventually, although the donations are still necessary to be able to upload a larger image(and they do help keep the site running).
