For future reference though, we decided on a rule that the winner of the previous topic would make the new one. However, I've won ever topic thus far so I'm not sure how everyone feels about that rule at the moment.

Me - I say we set the precedents now rather than later. I think it's only right that the winner of each topic creates the next one, thus giving the winner the first point. If the winner is online at the time, I guess.
