Lightbulb You know you've played too much <game>...

I've noticed this effect after playing games that I'm really hyped over: it alters your worldview. You start applying gameplay mechanics in the real world, where it isn't as useful.

Please add to the list. Ideally, these would be real things you guys and gals experience, but hyperbole and hypotheticals are usually funny as well (but more "funny ha ha" than "funny but seriously").

---

System Shock 2, when you see a dead body, you first wonder what sort of items you can steal from it.

Goldeneye, when you see a security camera and instinctively aim to shoot it (in the lens, of course)

Shadow of the Colossus, when you look at large objects and plan how you're going to climb up there and stab it.

Katamari Damashii, when you glance at your desk and mentally order things by size.

Half Life 2, when you enter a room and identify things you can pick up or punt with a gravity gun.

World of Warcraft, when you preface all your actions with a /. (Or, when teach your dog to /sit, /shake, /dance, and /rude)

Diablo, when your mouse is broken.

You know you've played too much Mario Tennis (for N64) when the intense bots are easy to beat.

Okay, that's not funny, but it's true for me.

Oh, I've got a load of these...

You know you've played too much CoH when you:

Start thinking of peoples' skills in terms of powersets.
Can rationally argue for the Hulk being a SuperStrength/Regen Scrapper.
Know exactly what percentage each enhancement adds.
Can build an (insert archetype here) in your head with no guide.
Start stating 'That's not wierd in Paragon' and expect people to understand what you mean.
Go. Hunt. Kill Skuls.

You know you've played too much Romancing SaGa when you:
Classify weaponry by it's 'affinity material'.
Start expecting everyone to be built like apes.

You know you've played too much Warcraft III when you:
Tell people to stop poking you.
Tell people you're not that kind of orc.
Think all elves are archers.
Automatically associate teal with trolls.

You know you've played too much WoW when you:
Hit sleeping people with a sap.
Forget which server you played on last.
Earn the highest grade of Battlegrounds Reward.
Can tell the difference between a Gnome and a Dwarf by how they type.

You know you've played too much Diablo II when you:
Rant like mad about runes.
Expect drawing on your shirt to make it tougher.
Try to trade gemstones based on 'chipped', 'flawed', 'normal', 'flawless', and 'perfect' status.
Notice that the quillrats mostly drop arrows and bolts.
Try making a non-arrow, non-javelin, non-spear Amazon.
