| Member | I can't just go without hosting ANOTHER popular game show. Duel [Player 1 (10 Chips)] >llll llll< [Player 2 (10 Chips)] 50,000 (Grand prize for winning 5 duels in a row)5,000 4,000 3,000 2,500 2,000 1,500 1,000 500 250 100 Now, we need two players. Anyone? ---------------------------------------- Waiting List ---------------------------------------- Rules: 1. You cannot play twice in one month, a one month period waiting time is needed until you can play again. 2. If you do not know how to play (and even if you do), a short explanation will be given through out the game. 3. If you do not respond to this topic with in 3 days (unless I am notified why you are gone), then you will be put at the end of the waiting list and wait until it is your turn. You will start a completely new game. 4. I will message you for any reason concerning the game (i.e. timed out, on deck). If this is a problem, please notify me. 5. Yes, I do give out points. Rules of Duel: 2 players "duel" each other to win money. They are both asked a multiple choice questions, and they can choose more than one answer if they want, but one answer equals a chip, and they only have 10 chips per duel. If you run out of chips, you may only choose one answer per question for the remainder of the duel. After each question, the "value" of the duel rises. You may also "press" the other player if he/she has not answered. If you press the player, the original 48 hours to answer becomes 24 hours. You only have one press per round, though. The two players keep playing until someone answers a question wrong. When a player answers a question wrong, the duel is over, that player loses, and the other players wins the amount of money that the duel is worth at the time. Then, they may choose to quit and keep their money, or play "one more duel", in which they play another player, and have a chance to make even more money, but if they lose that duel, they lose all their money they have won in previous duels. If you win 5 duels in a row, you win the grand prize of $500,000, which only one person has ever done. Last edited by Link CDLVI; 09-07-2008 at 03:31 PM. |

When I read 'chips' I instantly thought poker and gambling, lol. Nevertheless, it has sparked my interest and I wouldn't mind learning how to play even if I end up sucking at it. |

Basically, 2 players "duel" each other to win money. They are both asked a multiple choice questions, and they can choose more than one answer if they want, but one answer equals a chip, and they only have 10 chips per duel. If you run out of chips, you may only choose one answer per question for the remainder of the duel. After each question, the "value" of the duel rises. If you win 5 duels in a row, you win the grand prize of $500,000, which only one person has ever done. I hope that made sense. If you still don't get it, look for an episode online somewhere and watch it. Edit: Whoops, I didn't know you were going to post the rules, L456. Oh well. |

| Member | ^ I was thinking about that. If you press someone, then the original 48 hours to answer will be cut to 24 hours. If they do not respond, then they are out. Pressing will be explained in the rules. Both players have placed their chips. Screen Down, please. Question 3: Douglas MacArthur, Dwight Eisenhower, and Martin Dempsey all have what in common?
