Actually having an account which everyone on VGF can access and use at the same time sounds kind of funny! Like...have it open for just a day but restrict it to like one topic in the misc forum or random forum games.

Mainly, people using an account which is not theirs allows them to hide their identity from non-staff, which means they might do nasty things. I myself was subjected to a forum I was on becoming anonymous for a time.

Me and one other person retained our sanity while everyone else went nuts.

When it inevitably switched back, it made the people who said stuff while anonymous look stupid. Really, really stupid.

^That's why we have our IP addresses logged. To deter multiple usernames and other sorts of stuff. It just takes looking at the time the IP was logged and do a match-up of the IP address of whichever other user it was. I doubt someone would go through the lengthy process of going to a neighbor's computer or a school. Then again, you could block those too.
