So next year I'm transferring to UW-Madison from UW-Milwaukee. Bigger school, more people, close to home, much more highly regarded, etc. One problem: Cupid stabbed me in the ass again. Okay, maybe it wasn't a Cupid thing. But there is a girl in my Shakespeare class that I've grown a bit fond of. No, I'm not head-over-heels dancing in la-la land like I was last year, but just that notion that we could have something. Normally I wouldn't assume things, but it does seem that she has grown a bit fond of me, too. Not that I'm saying it's huge, but there is something there. Well, we have pretty much no time to explore the possibility, with classes ending in two weeks. In other words, it seems pointless, and after class is through, there's a good chance we may never see each other again. Here's the catch: I've always assumed she lives in Chicago, since that's where she said she was from, and where she said she was spending her spring break. However, according to her Facebook profile, she lives in a town that's only about 10-15 minutes away from where I live. Unless it's a different town in Wisconsin with the same name, which seems highly unlikely. So... blah. I've become accustomed to having girls I'm interested in abruptly leave my life to go nowhere to be found. |

But yeah, just keep in touch, man. If it turns out she really is that close, then there should be no problem. To be sure, consult my friend the atlas. -Dylan

Well, looks like I have a pen pal now. ... Hey, this turned out a lot better than two of the last three. Perhaps because I'm nowhere near as emotionally involved. Hell, I don't even think about her much at all on days I don't see her.
