I think I'm much too cynical to be considered a "hopeless romantic," or a "romantic," period. Aren't hopeless romantics supposed to be those people who (at least want to) take their dates to fancy restaurants and buy them crap out of the blue? So not me.

It has to do with chasing after some ridiculous ideal of that perfect match, mostly. Do you know the definition of romanticism? Start there, move outward into "hopeless" - that's where you'll find your answers.
