| Guest Posts: n/a | ****ing hell Ok, I have been going out with Daisy for a couple of months now, and her ****ing dad still thinks that I am nothing but a trouble maker. I haven't gotten in trouble for anything, I am actually going out of my way to prove to him, that I aint trouble. And after yesterday, I don't know what the hell it is gonna take it impress him. Yesterday was open house night. I have to come as a escort for the NJROTC program, I am dressed in my uniform, fresh from the dry cleaners, and I offer to show her dad around, but that ahole, don't wanna let me. I am trying to be nice as hell, and he acts like a jackass. Throwing insults and saying outside of the uniform, I aint nothing but trouble. And then he says something about, "I didn't know the U.S. navy is recruiting gang members now". Besides, I probably won't even go to navy, I'm just taking this course for a P.E. credit, but its awesome so I might, besides I'm in it to show to everyone that I aint just a loser. And then he gets himself lost in campus, and I offer to help AGAIN, and he tells me to **** off and that he can find it himself. What a ********. |

If you are really dedicated to this girl, you could try approaching him saying something along the lines of this: "I'm really sorry we got off on the wrong foot, but I really want to make the effort to get to know you and I feel it's important for you to feel comfortable around me. I really like your daughter, and I think it's important that you trust me with her. I am really trying very hard to be good to you, and I would appreciate it if you simply gave me a chance." Things like that impress dads. Of course, if he's still a jerk, then you know that HE'S the one with the problem, not you. Sometimes, people are just asses, and there's nothing you can do about it. Just don't let him get to you - kill him with kindness. ![]() |

| Guest Posts: n/a | I'm guessing it is him with the problem, I was being as nice as possible with him, and he still treated me like crap. Besides, if I said any of that to him, he would know that I am up to something. |

Saying something like that only shows you are seeking his approval - and it's silly if he doesn't appreciate the gesture. |
