My mom got re-married recently.

Its kind of weird having a stepdad, but he's a really cool guy and I love him. I kind of miss my dad, though. Even though I see him on the weekends. Does anyone else have stepparents?

My parents split when I was very young, and had a step-dad from the time I was 2. He was just another dad to me (in the same way that I'm not terribly close to my own father (XD), and he's a pretty great guy (he's helping me get my car fixed for cheap! woo!). I still call him my step-dad, even though he's not married to my mother anymore.

Take this from me, get close to him. My dad left my mom like 2 months after she gave birth to me. She got re-married when I was like 6, and I hated the ****. But, a couple months ago, he got deported, and I haven't seen him since, and I kind of feel bad for him.

My parents got divorced when I was 5 or so. My mom quickly remarried some abusive crack-head, so that sucked for a few years. My dad eventually remarried. My step-mom's nice enough, though we're not really close.

My parents broke up too late for me to really have any step-parents even if they'd bothered to remarry. Neither of my parents would get along with someone that wanted to act like they were my parent, though.
