I know it's been a while, but that's just because life showed up and made itself at home.

I'm still together with the girl I told you all about last year, and we're still going strong. Her cancer is in remission...

Her hair is growing back (such beautiful golden brown hair), she's gaining healthy weight (I thought she was beautiful even when she was sick... but hot damn.), and her singing voice has returned.

My god, her voice. She's an Alto, and let me tell you that I've never heard a more soulful(or sexier) voice in my entire short life.

I finally got my license, and she's working to get hers. I'm constantly giving her rides, but I enjoy her company, so I dig it. ( I drive a red 1987 Jeep Wrangler. Stick shift, by the way. )

Things have been going swimmingly, I'm no longer on the Football team( I lettered in three sports, though. Football, Wrestling, and Track.), I've gotten my act together academically, and my bass playing is coming along very well. I've been attending band practice at my cousin's house again(ah, how I missed band practice...), and taking my girlfriend has only made it better because she sings so well. Did I mention that she's truely an exceptional singer?

Now, I didn't just come in here to paint you all a picture of my perfect life... My Dad got laid off at work (and won't get hired back. There's a strong political force within the school district that does not want him to be part of the labor union, of which he is currently the vice president), and we're desperately hurting for money right now, but the way things are looking, we might just pull through.

I'd better end this here, before I wind up descending into incoherency.

Aww, man...I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I hope everything works out.

As for your girlfriend, it sounds like things are going extremely well for you. I'm so happy for you! You sound very in love.

Congratulations and good job sticking through tough times with her. I think you'll be fine with your dad's lack of money if you stick through this just as well.

You have a girlfriend? Never knew. Can't wait till i'm a teen. Never had a girlfriend. And my mom's layed off. It's beggining to become quite bad. Not to mention that she had surgery because of a tumer in her head.

Here we can see a clear error in logic: if you can't escape no matter how you try, how would CK still be able to escape with her many posts?
