Talking

Don'tcha just love us?!!!!! *grins*

Anyways, I watched this horrible documentary last night... got me thinking about how women are treated in some countries and I'm very relieved and grateful to live in a free country!! BUT that's not the catalyst for this topic really... I looked at some information in a calendar and I was suddenly reminded of the documentary by the little words at the bottom. International Women's Day. (It is here already! The benefits of living in the future and it being the 8th already!!)

Sooooo...

How's your relationship with the women in your life? What do you like most about each of them?

Mum? (Mom and Mother and all other variations)
Very good. She's probably my closest relative of all of my family.

Grandmothers?
Don't have them anymore.

Sisters?
Never did have them.

Aunts?
Haven't seen the two aunts I have in at least over two or three years.

Nieces?
Don't and can't ever have them. (I would love my nieces to pieces though!)

Cousins?
Likewise on the haven't seen them in several years.

Friends?
Absolutely phenomenal!

Step-Mum, and other step-family as the case may be?
Yeah, don't have that either.

Yeah, my family is really really small...

Mum? (Mom and Mother and all other variations)
Well, it's pretty average.

Grandmothers?
I haven't seen them for quite some time. :/

Sisters?
Have none.

Aunts?
Eh, some good, some bad. The bad ones are bi-polar.

Nieces?
None.

Cousins?
So-so. One of them just likes to piss me off, though, because she knows I'd get into alot of trouble if I actually do any type of physical contact.

Friends?
Eh. Average.

Mom: I have a cool mom. Simple as that.

Grandma: My grandma is the awesomest person in the world, partly because she enjoys giving people stuff, partly because she always catches you if you try to leave it behind somehow, and other reasons.

Sister: My sister can be either a hilarious buddy or a stubborn short-tempered self-centered royal pain, nothing in between.

Aunts: I don't get to see my aunts all that often....my mom's sister is cool to hang around with, but my dad's sister-in-law is kinda pushy and subtlely judgemental.

Cousins: I only have 3 cousins that are realistically in my age group, and 2 of them are girls. The one on my dad's side (a year up on me) is a local-legend-esque overachiever, but when you can get her to sit down for 5 minutes she's fun to talk to; the one on my mom's side is fun to talk to pretty much all the time, as she's a tad bit younger than I and also less of a workaholic. Besides them, there's also the overachiever's sister, who unfortunately takes after her mother, and my mom's sister's daughter, who used to threaten me back when she babysat but now is much more laid-back, yet equally sarcastic.

Friends: For whatever reason, I tend to have an easier time befriending females than I do males. Two of my three best friends are girls (but then, one of those two is Lucky, so I don't quite know if she should count ), and up at school I'm usually much more open & comfortable with the ladies of the dorm than the menfolk.

No nieces, as I'm the only one of los hermanos Hayfever old enough to even consider having kids, and no steps, as my parents are still together.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Thumbs up

Mummay! When we're actually getting along, her sense of humor is as bad as mine, although she'll never admit that.

Grandmothers: One's the stereotypical granny- very old, putters around, loves all the grandkids. The other is much younger and also has a great sense of humor, but she's also a complainer. I've always had a pretty good relationship with her.

Sisters: My younger sis was always the "ally" throughout my childhood and we got along quite well. We still do, but things do get strained as I don't like the way she treats my mom or the house. My older sister is estranged and I don't get along with her at all. I like being away from her, because it makes things that much easier.

Aunts: With only a couple exceptions, my aunts are all very cool. Especially my god-mother; she's the youngest of them all and spent a lot of time with me when I was younger. Blame her for getting me addicted to video games.

Nieces: Ah dun got none.

Cousins: All my cousins on my mother's side are awesome. Pee and Rattan are like brothers to me; it's really too bad that I can't hang out with them more often. As for my father's side, my cousins are all pretty young and worship me, and they're fun to be with and all, but the age difference makes them.. difficult to stand at times. Sometimes I worry I'm not going to be good with kids since they manage to make me lose my patience so much.

Friends: Those I allow to get past that thick initial barrier are real close. As easily as they can piss me off they're extremely loyal and have helped me out more times than I can count. Just about all of my major hobbies started because we needed something new to do together. They also somehow magically rid me of all my good judgment so I do a lot of fun (read: stupid) and reckless things with them.

Step-Mum: Don't think I'll be having any in this lifetime.

Nieces? None
Cousins? Too many of them, dont have great relationships with them, but I love them all.
Friends? Great People.
Step-Mum, and other step-family as the case may be? None

Mom - My relationship with her is great. There are certain times when she's difficult to be around (as with most moms), but I get along with he rreally well and I feel like I can come to her with stuff.

Grandmothers - My dad's mom died about 3 years ago (never met her), and my mom's mom is in the States about 5-6 months a year. I enjoy her company.

Sisters - Don't have any.

Aunts - I'm pretty close with my mom's sister, and most of my dad's sisters live in different places (Florida, England, others...)

Nieces - Don't have any...yet. My brothers better get going and find someone.

Cousins - I'm closer with the cousins on my mom's side, because alot of them are much closer to me than my dad's side. I'm always happy to see them.

Friends - I'd say they're more of aquaintances, but whenever I'm out with them I have no problem conversing and making jokes. I've found that I'm more relaxed when girls are around.

Stepmom - Doubt I'll ever have one.

Mum? (Mom and Mother and all other variations)
Couldn't be any better.
Grandmothers?
Same here.
Sisters?
It's fun to tease her all the time.
Aunts?
Not too close to them, but it's all good.
Nieces?
Have none.
Cousins?
Same as aunts.
Friends?
What? Me having friends that are girls? Not going to happen. I mean, c'mon, they all hate me. So, yeah, it's bad.

Mum? (Mom and Mother and all other variations)
Great. She annoys me a bit at times, although many of those times it's mainly me to blame. >_>

Grandmothers?
Pretty good. Usually help her with jobs like last summer I picked up the rocks in front of her townhouse.

Sisters?
Non-existent.

Aunts?
My only aunt lives a few states over, but we get along pretty nicely.

Nieces?
My brother isn't married.

Cousins?
I have 2 that I can talk with. The youngest is about 5 and we usually play a lot. The oldest comes down every summer and is about a year or two older than me. I don't know if we talk a lot, but we do get along pretty good.

Friends?
Hmm, usually friendships disappear after a while, although they usually do go good.

Step-Mum, and other step-family as the case may be?
Only a step-sister. I only seen her once, when I also went to see my dad in Minnesota.

Momma
My momma is my life, if I ever were to lose her, I don't know what would become of me, I'm a little nervous right now because she's gonna have to fly back from LA. And we both hate planes.

Grandmothers?
My Granny and Grandma are a trip, well Granny (Dad's mom) has Alziemers, and even though she can't remember me by name, she knows who I am, and I love her, she does well for her age, 83 with Alziermers and better than most cases.
Grandma (Momma's Momma) I see every year, I'd be sad if she left me, but there's somethin' about her that just makes you think, "What the hell Grandma?"

Sisters?
I have one sister, and we are twenty years apart, I could count the times I've seen her (not days, just times I've/She's visited) on my hands (maybe the addition of a few toes).
Aunts?
My aunts are all a trip, any time I'm with any of them, we have a good time, one of the main reasons I love my family. Especially Aunt Lynne and Aunt Joanne.

Nieces?
I have no nieces.

Cousins?
Ah, the cream of the crop. My female cousins, Desa, Mikayla, Mimi, Kalauni, you get it, I love them all, and I feel they're the connection for the family.

Friends
Too good to explain.

Nieces:Nope.

Mum?
Most of the time good, though we have our moments where we have some pretty heated arguments, usually about AC/DC.

Grandmothers?
My mom's mom friggin' rocks. I can tell her anything without fear of my parents finding out, and she got me hooked on The Beatles. My dad's mom rocks too. She'll actually go fishing with my grandpa, my dad, and me, and won't be a whiny ***** like most other women are about fish.

Sisters?
She's cool sometimes, but other times I just wanna push her face through the back of her head.

Aunts?
My dad's sister just got remarried. My family doesn't really approve of the marriage, so we don't talk to her that much anymore. My other two aunts are my mom's half-sisters, and I don't see them much anyway.

Nieces?
None.

Cousins?
My only girl first-cousin just got married and moved to North Carolina. That was a fun wedding.

Friends?
Most of my lady-friends are girls I've had crushes on/dated, but some of 'em I can comfortably hang out with, usually because they're dating one of my buds.

Step-Mum, and other step-family as the case may be?
Non-existent to me. Let's just leave it at that.

I'm dying to go fishing again, it's just brilliant fun. Dad and two of his friends would go and take me for fishing trips over a whole week, I just loved it! Morbid creature that I can be... I won't share the particulars- you've got me rambling pointlessly as it is <__<
