Gender: Posts: 243 Thanks: 6 Thanked 4 Times in 4 Posts | Though you guys are dating currently, I just wanted to throw in a thought or two. I'm like her, sort of. There's this guy I've liked since last year, and sometimes I thought maybe he liked me, but lately, it was like "I doubt it." But I knew I wouldn't forgive myself if I said nothing like I did once in the past. So I asked him out to Homecoming today after Psychology. I don't think he could not know what I meant when I said, "Hey, this may be out of left field, but I was wondering if you wanted to go to Homecoming?" Maybe I startled him. He didn't bolt, at least, though you'd hope that as a senior, guys have matured a little since middle school... But anyway, there is a small possibility he didn't realize I was seriously asking him out. On the other hand, he might just not have known what to do. So he says, "Well, I might be king..." while smiling, if maybe a hint unsure, maybe not, and distractedly messing with his phone in his hand. thing is, he's on the ballot for homecoming king. That's basically how things ended--I'd already used all my courage just asking him and we'd hit the stairs. It was time to go to Spanish. So i didn't get a Yes. I didn't get a No. I didn't even get a maybe. At least it would be an ANSWER. My moral? If a girl asks you out, try not to avoid it because you'll end up making her feel as lost as ever. It'd be nice if I thought his fudging was just him avoiding me because he was startled, not cuz he didn't want to. I dunno, but that's a little optimistic--and in my opinion, unrealistic. It's better to reject someone, albeit nicely, than leave them hanging like I am today, ugh... And now I dunno what to do tomorrow... xP |
