| All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Birmingham, AL Gender: Posts: 13,275 Thanks: 1,009 Thanked 682 Times in 395 Posts | Want To Know Your Opinoins on a situation I was talking to a friend about this, and I was pondering "what would I do in that situation?" So I decided to ask you guys for your opinoin. My friend and this girl began talking last week, and he found out she was only a freshman (and I believe 14, might be 15). He's a senior and 17, and he'll be turning 18 in January (and her birthday is like August or something). When he found that out, he was a bit upset, so he asked me this question: Would you date the girl? Knowing that you'll soon be legal, and more than likely she'll be a minor to you, or what? Cause I mean, she's a good-lookin' girl, but she's a bit young, but I'm not too sure myself on what I'd do. What do you guys think? And ladies, tell what you would do if it was the reverse situation? |

| The Man Who Sold the World | Lots of couples do it. It usually doesn't work out, but it's not abnormal. They just legally have to abstain from sex. Ony of my sister's friends was dating a girl in my grade (at that time, sophomore year of high school) during his freshman year of college. It's not unusual. |

| The Man Who Sold the World | Yeah, I couldn't date someone that much younger than me, either... nah ah. I could see dating someone maybe a year younger than me - someone who would be still a senior in high school - but some people are fine dating girls even younger than that. |

| The Man Who Sold the World | When I was a junior I met a girl who had similar interests to me. I was bugging out when I found out she was a freshman, but one of my other friends pressured me into pursuing her. But, it turned out that girl had a boyfriend, so I never did. Just moved on. |

If each individual is at a point in their lives when their maturity equals that of their partner, then sure, I don't see why not. However, this includes emotional maturity, not just maturity altogether. He needs to make sure that she is capable of handling that kind of relationship, otherwise it could be detrimental to both of them. |

As long as they agree and would love each other no matter what, there shouldn't be a problem. |
