I'm already in that sort of situation. Who am I to question other people's beliefs? As long as you respect me, I respect you. Other belief systems can be interesting, and I enjoy learning about them, but I couldn't ever imagine myself converting.

Something I never understood. If you take your faith seriously, how is it even possible to convert simply for the the sake of a relationship? We're talking about what you believe here. Unless they're very persuasive, how can you honestly say you ever believed at all if you're willing to toss aside your former "faith" so casually?

Some religions don't mix.Like Christianity and Satanism(the 666 pitchfork kind of Satanism).Otherwise I don't see why religion would be a problem in a relationship.

Would you convert? Would you try to convert them? Would you just compromise or respect each others' beliefs?
Cold day in hell. I've told people that I've had much respect for that, too.

If I was to marry someone with beliefs different than mine.... what would we teach our kids? We would both want to teach them what we believe, and that to me would cause problems.

That's one of those tricky topics...

My religion tells me that you have to be of the same religion, or at least something that's close enough. Yet at the same time, I've had varying opinions at the same time and respected that. It's this weird... I don't know the answer to it. It's not something I've figured out for myself, and invariably, I think it comes down to each and every person figuring it out for themselves.

Masamune is the MAN. XD

Hm... Tough question. I'm going to be honest here and say I'd be most comfortable with someone who believes like I do.

Which isn't that hard, really. I'm not very specific. I'm kind of an old-fashioned "Everybody's cool, just love one another" Christian.

Yet if she were of some other faith (or just another brand of Christianity, even), I'd be kinda worried, and there'd be the occassional awkwardness.
