So, I wanna go on a date with this girl, see, and my first idea is to go to the movies, but all of the movies out right now suck, see, so I don't know what to do. Before you say a romatic candlelight dinner, neither of us can drive so that would be kinda weird. I like this girl, so I wanna get started on working on getting something with her.

Some Ideas:
Bowling
Mini-Golf (if it's warm where you live, but probably not)
Ice Skating (perfect for this time of year!)
Roller Skating

Random Sentimental Idea:
This one partially depends upon how warm it is by you and if you have this available. If you have a park nearby and a day where it's not too cold to stay indoors, take her to a park and just walk around and talk. It's something simple, but oftentimes simple things are the most appreciated.

You could maybe take her for a walk to your local ice cream parlor or something. Dunno. If it was me, I might even take her to the mall and just walk around and talk.

Hmmmm... O-o I suppose a night staying home and just watching a rental or playing a ton of video games is out of the question (personally, I'd love that, if it came with a good dinner and not just junk food. XD)

Dinner at a restaraunt IS nice; it doesn't have to be anything overly elaborate. Before you say you can't go, though, how were you intending to go to the movies, and using the same method (feet, parent's car) could you not get there yourself?)

I'm guessing art galleries and museums are not typical places XD:;; oy. And it's too cold to go outside, unless you live someplace deleriously warm. Then you could just visit a park or something.

...It might be nice just to ask her opinion on things, if you're absolutely unsure. X_X

The walk to the icecream parlor sounds like a good idea, but she lives pretty far from me.

And I would invite her to my house, but her mom is one of those paranoid churchoholics that won't let her go over to a boy's house or something.

Thanks for the ideas, though. Bowling might be fun.

Crappy movies work out nicely. People pay less attention to it then.

^ Contraire. Being alone in a movie theatre with your significant other is one of the best places on the world...

... but not for a first date, no...

I would say do something that you be can do together. Going to movies in my opinion is too much time spent paying attnetion to something other than the other person (if you actually watch the movie that is). Bowling is always good (but don't beat her too bad, hehee), and just simply having her over to play video games or board games or something.

You don't need to .entertain. her, but help her enjoy herself.

But this comes from me who's never been on a date, hehee.

Challenge her to a game in Mario KartD, then after you beat her, jump around and laugh at her while singing "I am the champion."

...

Damn, no wonder I don't have a girlfriend.

Although seriously, taking her out to lunch or dinner and just chatting is a good idea.-jay

^ Haha, I might do the first one.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm not really the "romantic type." So I dunno about dinners or long walks on the beach or any of that jazz.

Dinners don't have to be that kind of romantic crap you see in the movies. Just take her to lunch or dinner and chat. Good way to just get to know someone.-jay

I need ideas, too. I'm thinking of just the movies for now. I just need to talk to her a bit first, and then I'll pop the question ...

Movies at a cinema? Romantic dinner in a restaurant with candelight? Bore me...

God, you guys suck. =P Take the girl out to just do stuff. Go to a mall, and walk around with her. Tell her you're going home, and invite her to play video games, board games, what-the-****-ever with you. Have lunch at a Burger King or something. Go to an arcade and play games with her there. What I do when I date is I try to make the girl feel like they are one of my 'buddies'. As in, one of my male friends, but...heh...not exactly, if you know what I mean. =P

I don't pull this 'omg i luv her & she iz teh oly 1 4 me. i must kizz her a$$ becuz i hav no bakboen' ****. Take charge. Play with her like you would a friend. Take her places that you would take a friend. Do things with her like you WOULD A FRIEND! Dates get so boring when they are courtships, and if you are dating her, and if you want her to be your girlfriend, I sure as **** would want a person I can use as a FRIEND than someone I just want to have sex with, but that's just me. My advice depends on the person, really.

I digress yet again. I've been doing that a lot lately...anyway...

What the Hell? You're YOUNG! Don't try to act older than you are! Have fun and go out on the town and just have a load of fun, doing **** with her that you would with your mates.

Those are, from my experiences, the best dates--dates where you just go out to have fun, and not trying to get into the girl's pants by the end of the night.

Precisely what my brother and his girlfriend do.

... She owns me at Mario Kart.

Some good ideas here.

Going out is always a pretty sweet idea for a first date but it needn't be candlelight... pizza works nicely for an informal time together. Good luck Carter and have fun!

Shinigami, I'm sure your advice would be far more welcomed and appreciated if you didn't sound like a complete asshole when giving it.

And here I thought all this time that the '=P' indicated that I wasn't being too serious or was just joking around. Huh. Guess my use of it was mistaken all this time...
