I don't have anyone to actually talk to. Besides, all the friends I had in school don't associate with me anymore. Wesley was my best friend since 4th grade, but he hates me now because I'm asexual. No one would sit with me at lunch because they thought I was going to strangle them. Just because I'm non-social, everyone thinks I'm some sort of homocidal freak. *sigh* Last edited by DarkZero; 05-09-2008 at 05:38 AM. Reason: What MM said. |

| Newbie | Hey cheer up mate, its not the end of the world just yet! I'm quite sure lots of people on this forum consider you a good friend, right? You remind me of my little brother! Who got so depressed with life he tragically committed suicide. You see he had no friends, and was bullied at school merely because he was different! He was dyslexic you see! Yet never would he tell me owt, always kept his feelings inside. Until that tragic day I found him dead... I miss my young brother so much, but I cannot bring him back... Everyday I visit his grave with a rose... I loved him dearly!! |

What I did was get my mom to enroll me in some IT clases and I made lots of friends there. you should take a class about something that interests you sure way to make friends. |

You sort of start to see that nobody you meet is ever completely trustworthy and 'there for you'. I'm pretty antisocial myself, but only because I choose to concentrate on my own benefit and not theirs. If you feel blown off or alone, trust me, there's a kindred spirit somewhere to relate to. |

That said, I went for years without friends--until I hit College. Now I have friends in low and high places, and they even got me nominated for an academic honors award! So... remember that friendlessness is never permanent. Even dead people have fans if their name is remembered much. |

Kids just don't understand that. Now, asexual though? The hell, man? Haha, I use that as a term of not being interested in anyone myself. |

Not everyone at 14 feels the same things... it's all a matter of upbringing and beliefs and personal things, too. What I'm saying is, it's PERFECTLY okay to be asexual, DZ!!! And you have friends... we're here. But I understand that you want friends to be social with. Well, friendship is one of those complicated things where you actually have to put time and effort in and be a friend yourself, as well. But you already know this, I bet!!! I suggest that you work out your favourite interests offline, that can be done in a group... for example, sport... you might not be the athletic type, so think of things like ten pin bowling or whatever else you actually think you'll enjoy... then join a club. And go participate with other people. You'll find that you'll make friends easier with people who share similar interests. ![]() And as corny as it sounds, practice smiling... especially if you don't already!!! It's a known fact that people are attracted to others that seem to be smiling, displaying they're happy with themselves, if nothing else. And, Wesley will hopefully become more tolerant of others differences as he grows up... *gives you marshmallows* ![]() |

You need to overcome that and with home schooling it just makes it ten times worse. __________________ -------------------------------- |
