Yoshi's Island music

It recently occurred to me to post this here:

A couple of the songs in SMW2 sound suspiciously like Duke Ellington's "Take the A Train" and Weather Report's "Birdland." I was wondering if these songs were actually adapted from the originals, and, if so, are there any other jazz classics in that game?

Birdland, huh? Any idea which levels the song that sounds like it is in? I'd like to take a look.
