You know you're posting this in the wrong forum, yet you post it anyway? People. Jeez.

It's kind of freaky when an user knows he or she is posting at the wrong forum and does it anyway

I'd complain about bumping an old topic, but then again, this topic was still on the front page, right?

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I find the history of video games to be fascinating. From trivia like how Nintendo used to be a playing card company and stuff like the Great Video Game Crash and how Nintendo saved the North American video game industry single-handedly. When I'm bored at work, sometimes I just look up video games at Wikipedia, just for kicks.

So, when I found this site, I read through them and loved every minute. Fifty milestones in the gaming world, all the way back to the great-granddaddy of 'em all, Spacewar (beating out pong by a good decade).

There's another piece in progress which also talk about some old-school gems; I look forward to it's completion.

And, I can post these links with a clear conscience, because the guy who requested this stuff is probably never going to come back.

While I do find myself interested in the history of the industry, I know a lot of it already.. And I sort of just shelve such knowledge until I actually care about it. For the record, LostLevels.org has some great stuff on unreleased games..
