Bubble Bobble

Even after all these years, I adore this game and play it regularly... preferably with ESSDEE so we can give those critters what-for and then gorge ourselves on yummies. Whee. If you haven't played it, I wish to know why. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Game description:
Released in 1988.
Bub and Bob's gals were kidnapped and like the galant heroes that they are, with your help, they're off to rescue them. By blowing bubbles to capture the enemies then jumping and popping the bubbles to get goodies. 99 levels later and they enter Super Bubble Bobble!! Finally, when you defeat Super Drunk at the end, well... it's up to you to see what happens.

Our favourite bit is to make Baron Von Blubba appear and then to scream whilst he's chasing us. Last one remaining 'wins' that level. [img]graemlins/lol.gif[/img]

My personal least favourite level: 57. :/ It still is difficult even after playing and beating this game a gadzillion times.

...Yes. Most definitely one of my favourite games of all time.

2. Pick your most favourite part, and least favourite; and
The shoe, the special items (later in the game, usually) that give you fire or fill the screen with water/flying things and all the food that gives you tonnes of points. Aaah least favourite is just particular levels- and losing my precious powerups.

3. Rave all you like about this game (even if you haven't played it, don't own it or whatever... as long as it's about this game).
The music is brilliant and I'll always have a certain fondness for the graphics of Bubble Bobble. Fully beaten it easily 20 times, simply because it's a fantastic and very playable game. *cuddles* ^___^
