Most Desired Sequel/Game?

Any game you really want an oldschool-style sequel to, or just something that was never finished?

I wish someone would have made another TMNT or Double Dragon game. Those are really my favorites. Or another Zelda game in the vein of LttP. Hell, even another Mario World.

Would've been nice if Lost Vikings got a sequel that didn't suck.

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

I want Sonic Extreme, which would have been old skool Sonic, but in 3D.

*Shot*

As for the Nintendo front, I think we could have all used another Star Fox 64, but a sequel. But still in a similar format. It's just too priceless to be killing large, semi-detailed geometric shapes.

Well, it WAS Mother 3, but since that was announced, we now need a Kirby Super Star 2. Or an SMRPG 2 actually made by Square. -CSM

I wish they'd not left aussieland out of some cool releases back then... when. Things like SMRPG and Paper Mario... even Earthbound. I really enjoyed the "sequel" PM:TTYD and I'd love an opportunity some day to try out its predecessor.

Yeah, but you know they'd have some boyband singer voice act as Bowser.

Paper Mario was in Oz ... perhaps just not in your area?
There was a stand of 40 of them and it sold in a week at Games Mania.

I hope there is a sequel to Famicom Detective Club on the Gamecube or Revolution. Not on the Nintendo DS; It'd be better with full voice acting and full animation cut-scenes. I wish the companies would stop releasing crap instead!

Heh. You're talking about KH, right (aka stupid Insync guy as Sephiroth)? I wouldn't be surprised if they did, heh.

Voice acting just isn't the same as it once was. Sure there's Billy West and Matt Chapman, but that's it really. -CSM

Voice acting is great when people stop trying to give everyone some unrealistic voice. It always sounds like someone is just talking that way, as opposed to being their actual voice.

I think this is fairly well known, but I'll say it anyway. That's Anthony Daniels's real voice behind C3P0.

A sequel to Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA that didn't suck would've been nice...

Or graphically-updated sequels to:

Uniracers
Stunt Race F/X
Race Drivin'
Contra III
Spider-Man and X-Men in Arcade's Revenge

And I'd like to see LttP perfectly translated into 64-bit glory.

Someone once tried to make OoT into 2D, but Nintendo shut them down. Bad, bad Nintendo. -CSM

^ True enough, I still have the engine demo. Never got it to work, though. In the same instance, I think I'll mention Metroid Prime 2D, as I plan to in the Metroid forum. It's looking quite promising. A fan conversion of the Metroid Prime story and gameplay to 2 dimensions - just what the doctor should have ordered.

And it's worth reiterating how much another Double Dragon game would simply own. Technos ought to do to DD2 what they did with Double Dragon Advance.

Let's hope MP2D survives.

And we ARE long overdue for a new DD game. -CSM
