The second one is like, well, the regular game, except when you finish a level, the next level's time limit is the time you had left when you finished the previous level. If you're scratching your head saying, Huh? then maybe you should take an example. World -1-1 Time Remaining at Finish: 98 World -1-2 Time Remaining at Start: 98 Is this a true rumor? I've seen it done, but I was really young, and I can't remember how it was done. All I remember was the Minus World concept. Is this true? |

Go down the pipe, and you're tossed into a never-ending water level. I'm sure you already know that, but I figured I might as well reiterate. There is one spot where you can jump over the flag at the end of a level, it involves the scale platforms in the 3rd level of one of the worlds. If you manage to jump over the flag, all you will get is to run beyond the castle into an empty and unending path. You will run out of time, and start back from whereever you're supposed to. There are no more minus worlds, if there were, they would have been found by now. The closest thing I can think of is using a hack to get into world 1-0, which is actually one of the castle levels submerged in water. So no, this rumor is not true. ![]() |

Not that the level itself goes on forever. >_> <_< I wanna see the submerged castle. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

After Nintendo found out about this little glitch, they made it into a full fledged world (ie. -1-1, -1-2, etc.), in a later version of SMB1 on NES. This version of the game is only available in Japan however. (Might even be the FDS version, I can't remember exactly.) For those wondering, you can do the minus world trick in the Super Mario Allstars version on SNES, but it will NOT take you to the minus world, the warp pipes will just function normally. |

DX for the GBC. But on the NES, you can get a savestate that demonstrate how to enter the minus worlds. I don't use emulators, I was mislead into thinking it could be considered a "backup" or "archival" copy. According to Nintendo, that was a misconception. But anyway, you can't do it on SMB DX. Sigh. ![]() |

You really have to stop and think if it's going to matter whether or not you're playing SMB on your computer - you probably already own the game, or could for a buck or two from any exchange place(which they will not see one dime of), and Nintendo isn't ever going to put out that software on the PC. They're not somehow losing income because people are playing games from outdated systems on their PCs. It's really their own fault that they let most of the titles go out of print. |

An interesting thing I remember - after you beat the castle, the game plays through like normal. Except, if you die, it always takes you back to that first castle level. And it's all right to trail off topic a bit. I'm not the strictest of moderators, I just ask that you keep the discussion older gaming systems and their software. |

ROM with the (peverted name) NESticle emulator, and played the Minus Worlds ROM movie, then you should know about the Minus world. This agrees with what Startropic1 said. |

I used an action replay to get that NES game...and i'm gonna try to see if the minus worlds are still in there. I can tell you now that the graphical glitches are still very noticeable on the edges. |
