| Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: the far side of the moon Gender: Posts: 185 Thanks: 5 Thanked 2 Times in 2 Posts | Small "Dark World" glitch in Super Mario 64 I read a small article in one of the retro sections of Game Informer and they spoke of how to enter a sort of "Minus World" glitch in Super Mario 64. It's pretty easy to do several times. To do it, you need all the stars,then use the flying hat with the cannon and shoot towards the very top of the castle where the roof meets the tower of the castle. Sometimes you may only reach the very edge and fall off, if that happens, quickly jump up and dive into the wall. If done correctly, you will fall straight down into the castle lobby and everything will be dark. At first it's just a small area, but when you exit the door, everything will glitch out and the game thinks you have entered the castle the regular way. It's not really that much of a cool glitch but it's something nonetheless, some sites on the internet call it the "Dark World" |

Half of the world goes dark, and the coins in the Lobby actually dissapear in a specific order. I believe we called it the "Viper Code" after Viper187 who made it. I forget if he was the creator or not, but anyway, it could be the same thing. |
