Post When You Score Retro Games

I recently won eBay auctions for S.C.A.T. (worst VG name ever), Krion Conquest, and Destiny of an Emperor. I tried to get Dragon Fighter from the same person, but somebody put in a crazy bid.

And about a week ago I got Gun*Nac from a local place.

My brother scored a fresh, un-opened box of Chrono Trigger off of Ebay last year.

It's not recent, but it's worth mentioning.

There are many NES games I require. Yet, I haven't the cold hard cash to trade. The only option: VIOLENCE.

I just realized I neglected to mention what systems the games are for. Every game I've mentioned so far is for the NES.

I think I got Operation C for the GameBoy last night. The auction was poorly written, calling it "Contral: Ultra Operation C", but for $3.99 (.99 for the game, $3 for shipping) I'm willing to take the risk.

Dragon Fighter arrived yesterday, and um... it took me longer to clean the connectors than to beat the game.

Been falling behind.

eBayed:
Mega Man 4 (NES)
Little Ninja Brothers (NES)
Paladin's Quest (SNES)

The latter two have arrived.

I also got an NES game called Mag*Max from that local place.

I won an auction for seven SNES games:

- Lagoon
- Bubsy
- Bubsy 2
- Street Fighter 2 Turbo
- Yoshi's Safari
- Outlander
- Mario Paint

I already own SF2 Turbo, but the rest are new and it was cheap enough; including shipping, a little over $4 a game, which nowadays is less than it takes just to ship one.

And I have no doubts that the Bubsy games suck as much as everyone says they do, but they're cheap (especially since a local place wants $10 for the first one) and I feel obliged to experience them for myself, even if I do regret it later.

Got lucky at the mall recently, bought all of these (in PAL version);
Hogan's Alley (needed another Zapper game, this one's a classic)

the Battle of Olympus (very nice game, in a similar style to, and frequently mistaken for, Zelda II: Adventure of Link)

Bionic Commando (does this really need a description? robot arms, kill hitler!)

Chiller (Now this one, I'm pretty damn pleased with - unlicensed release, came with the case, and a pamphlet full of other unlicensed games. The only catch is, I need the dongle that steals another cart's regional lockout code to play it)

I got Rock and Roll Racing (SNES) from Gamers Annonymous.

And though they're not Nintendo, I've gotten several Dreamcast games because I got into a kick of pumping up my collection for that. The only Dreamcast game I had for the longest time was MDK2 (That's not an acronym, that's the name of the game). Then a few years later, I finally got a Dreamcast, and burned that ROM disc with Sweet Home, played it, and another year went by. My collection is now 13 with more in interest, and the latest additions are Mars Matrix (an official one! I got one earlier that was bootleg), Soul Calibur, Airforce Delta, Jet Grind Radio (Flying Omelette hated it, but I'm sure there's something I can get out of it even if it's burning anger), Gunbird 2, and Record of Lodoss War (see Jet Grind Radio).
