so yeah the entire Captain N series is on DVD in a 4 disk box set. I just picked it up and I'm already through disk one and starting disk 2. great nostalgia factor on it.

It's not the entire series. Season 3 needs to be released with the SMW (or was it SMB3?) cartoon.

The box lies. It's missing season 3 which I think everyone hated anyway.

And it was shown with the Super Mario World cartoon.

Awesome. I'd love to watch some of those again, just for old time's sake. The series itself was never that great.. It was one of those things you watch just because it's better than Sesame Street, but not because it's awesome.

Yay? I had heard it sucked (someone is gonna quote this and make a *gasp!*-esque comment, I'm sure of it), but that's only what I heard. I'd much rather get the SMB3 cartoon (was gonna get it on my birthday when I saw it, but was low on gift-spending money. Ended up getting All Dogs Go To Heaven 1&2 instead. I regret nothing).

^oh come on, Captain N was the man back in the day. back when it was on it was a favorite of mine, even if they took alot of liberties with videogame characters.

The show was a half-hour advertisement for whatever stupid game Nintendo felt like shilling for at the moment--typically, worthless garbage like 'Bayou Billy'. The animation was fairly well done, but the writing was poor. And Captain N himself was an irredeemable doofus. I could carve a better hero out of a banana.
