| Apparently I'm a mod? Join Date: May 2001 Location: LEGITIMATE BUSINESS Gender: Posts: 13,208 Thanks: 236 Thanked 1,237 Times in 659 Posts | Am I the only person who prefers... ... The original NES versions of the Mario games over Super Mario All Stars? I'll give you Super Mario Brothers 3 as being a great remake, yes, and 2 got a nice update, but I still would rather play the originals. The Super Mario Brothers/Lost Levels remake suffers from both game play differences (Not bouncing down after hitting brick blocks really screws me up) and sound effects (HATE THOSE NOISES. That's why I'm never too fond of Super Mario World at times). Some music is great while other times it's just not good enough. Plus, come on. 8 Bit Music. It's effing legendary. |

In Super Mario Bros, for instance, you can clear the tallest pirana plants with a running jump from ground-level, but you cannot in the Allstars version of the game. It makes a big difference for those who can actually do it. |
