Thumbs up Thumb-busting Games

You know what I mean, those games you get and after two hours of solid playing you realize your thumb is red as a strawberry and just as big from flopping over that joystick for so long.

For me, these games have been the first Mario Party and pretty much every Super Smash Bros. game, due to the fact they're so damn addicting and I'm also usually in a mad dash to unlock everything within the first 48 hours of my purchase. I remember playing that bicycle minigame on Mario Party, and having to stop because a huge blister had formed on my thumb. Owwie.

Always use protection: Put on a Mario Party glove.

Also, Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros.

Same here, except I didn't mind losing skin. Those where good times...

And those button-mashing games too. It's exhausting when I play those games back-to-back-to-back.

Any you guys played Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire for PCEngine?

I imported it last year and I think I payed £230 if I recall correctly (I'm a rich b*stard) Tis considered one of the most expensive/rare games for said console!!!

And I must say it's ludicrously hard in places, certainly without doubt a thumb smasher!!!

^ Not a lot of Turbo Grafx fans here, bud. I had a friend with one, and I can't say I've ever played any imports on it, sadly.

Metroid, trying to "bomb up". You know what I'm talking about.

For me, it's F-Zero GX. I'm not surprised I don't have a permanent A imprinted onto my thumb by now.

Yeah well it's a shame really, because the PC Engine/Turbo Grafx is actually a good console. That (I think, not quite sure so don't quote me) rivaled the Famicom/NES for popularity in Japan. What, with "classic gems" like:

1943 KAI
Aero Blasters
Armed Formation F
Bomber man 94
Cyber knight
Strip Fighter II (ok, that one is extremely dirty, victory over your opponent is rewarded after the first round with a screen shot of them in their underwear; complete victory sees them totally naked!!!)
Hell, even Jackie Chan kicks ass on said console!! And that's only naming a few.

I also own the Duo RX CD console and Super GRAFX (though not sure why I shelled out £250 for the bloody thing, only six games were ever released for it). 1941 is a classec though, Battle Ace isn't too bad either.

Well anyway, Sin and Punishment. That's a seriouse thumb buster.
