Thumbs up I can't believe I found one of these!

I was at GameStop last night and I made an unusual find: An NES cart of Somari, $1.50. Naturally, I bought it.

This morning, I broke out the ol' capture device and got some pictures.

Chilling in Green Hill
Mingling in Marble Zone
Speed-balling in Spring Yard

Do you guys think this was a good buy or a waste of my money?

Huh?

I've never heard of this.

I assume it's a joke?

Somari - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I typed that link from memory, so it might be wrong.

The cart didn't come with a box or a label. It just had a sticker on it that said 'Somari NES' and the price.

I've played Somari before, but never on an NES (much less one that could play the game without removing the lockout chip).

I didn't think anyone else knew of this. I have it too. The game is extremely glitchy.

Awesome find, I'd love to pickup some crazy pirate carts like that. I'm more interested in Mario World, though.

This may or may not have startes Mario 4 and the other games afterwards.

Basically, the idea was a platformer that's already released, then add Mario's face, that's it.
