What games would you recommend?

I'm considering buying the following systems:
Atari 2600, Turbografx 16, Neo Geo and Game Gear.
If I were to buy ten games for each, which should they be?

I can't recommend much anything for the 2600, mostly because I don't really consider anything from that generation "good".

The Turbo Grafx isn't too tough a subject, since I've had a lot of experience with it. Off the top of my head, I would recommend:

Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge, Air Zonk, Fantasy Zone, Bomberman 93, Ninja Spirit, Splatterhouse, Parasol Stars, Neutopia 1 & 2

As far as the Neo Geo is concerned, the system is pure gold for fighting/beatemups. For it I recommend:

Fatal Fury, King of Fighters '94, the Metal Slug series, Samurai Shodown, Nightmare in the Dark, Super Dodge Ball, Waku Waku 7, Shock Troopers, Top Hunter - Roddy & Cathy

For the Game Gear, I suggest the Sonic the Hedgehog series and Mega Man. My brother owned one and I can honestly say that I don't believe there were very many great games for it. I will say this: Don't buy Tazmaniacs.

Since 3 of the systems mentioned share games directly ported to/emulated by the Wii (save the Atari 2600), I don't see why not. The "Nintendo" part of this forum is more of a guideline. I draw the line at PS1 and Xbox discussion, since those have their own respective forums and are still major competitors.
