I wanna see a new Kid Icarus. Not sure if it'd work out well in 3D (maybe as a third-person shooter/platformer) but I'd like to see 'em going for a cartoon look. Similar to Punch-Out!! or Wind Waker. Or Wario Land: Shake if they're going 2D.

Maybe they will forget us?

What about Actraiser?

Oh, sure the 2nd game had no strategy, but imagine a remake. You build a Town, trying to create monks to ward off Demons, and make buildings for your civilization to prosper, until you have enough power to kill the demons where they spawn.

Then you go to a platforming stage and kill a boss.

Nintendo's franchises, first and foremost.
Kirby - Not terribly neglected. Kirby Super Star Ultra will do for the next year or two, but it could use a sequel to, say, Kirby 64.
Pokemon Stadium - Not terribly neglected, but we need more Pokemon Stadium 3 and less Pokemon Colosseum or 'Battle Revolution', neither of which were as feature rich. And Colosseum had little to do with the functionality of ol' Stadium.
Star Fox - I dunno if I even care anymore. They've more or less destroyed what I liked about it, and riddled the series with the bodies of so many pathetic imposter games that... yeah. There's Star Fox Command and little else, really.

Then some other things.
Perfect Dark - A great looking series, but Rare died giving birth to it. The zombies who programmed Perfect Dark Zero don't count, and while the Xbox remake may make it look better, I doubt it'll fill the gap a properly made sequel would.
Marvel vs. Capcom - The so-called 'new' Marvel style and the 3D games just don't do it for me. Another of these would be excellent.
Vigilante 8 - It was pretty good, and the sequel was good too--so the creators of it had a critical existence failure. Dangit.
Power Stone - This was awesome, so naturally it had to die with the Dreamcast, more or less.
Marathon - Forget Halo, I want a 3D remake of this!
Phantasy Star Online: PSU sucked. PSO with a modern MMO setup, proper cheater busting, and server-side stuff to prevent idiocy would be good. There is a remote chance the oddly named PS0 may deliver me this, though.
Goldeneye - A remake on par with the Rare version with new graphics would be nice.
Sonic (16-bit 2D non-portable games) - Yes, call me crazy, but absolutely nothing after Sonic and Knuckles has counted as in the same series to me. The style's all different and the whole voice actor thing and 3D and the weird grainy GBA-style graphics in Sonic Advance... they don't fit. Why can't they give it the Kirby Super Star Ultra treatment?
Sonic (Adventure series) - On the other hand, if they're going to overdo a cliche, why not make an Adventure-styled multi-character game and just stop wounding themselves by failing at trying to be new?
Metroid (Prime Style) - Sure, you'll say I'm early, but I have a lurking feeling this weird Other M won't live up to this.
Need For Speed 3, Arcade style Cop action - The new games have too much plot and too many new cars. I want a wide selection of old and new, and less emphasis on the urban nonsense.
Civilization - Non-calculus edition - When they began to make it more and more complex, it became brain-numbing to play. You might say Civ 1 or 2 were primitive, but you know what? That's what made them fun. Give me just enough and let my mind fill in the holes--don't make the computer take all the fun out of it!

Indeed, in checking over these, I know now why I am so intensely dissatisfied with modern gaming in general.

They just don't make any sequels or continuations to the sort of games I used to all but kill people to get my hands on. Those which live have morphed into new things that no longer fit my tastes, and those that died often died prematurely.

A handful of other things fit my tastes, but it seems they, too, are constantly under attack. Within 10 years, I may have nothing in common with the 'mainstream' gamer in tastes... and merely live in the past.

Wasn't that just a crappy Carmageddon clone?

F-Zero, Jet Force Gemini, and definitlely a side-scrolling Kid Icarus. The 2-D Metroids need to come back, I love Metroid Prime and everything, but a sidescrolling Metroid would be good. Star Fox needs to get a new game.

Who cares? Both games stole from Halo.

I just want to see more top down shooters and maybe a few brawlers thrown in for good measure.

^ What's the matter? can't you handle the special controls?

It was a remake of Starfox 2. That's good enough for me.

Can't really remake a game that was never finished. I've got the beta for SF2, btw, and I don't mean Street Fighter. That was pretty ghetto. It was probably a good idea on Nintendo's part to cancel the product.

^ Okay, fair enough, they used the Beta to transform it into Command. Compare Aidyn Chronicles to Quest 64. See something that similar besides the battle system(ever so slightly). Yeah, well, that used to be Quest 2, the sequel to Quest 64 that had PARTY MEMBERS or much more.

Sometimes, potentionally awesome sequels can turn into pure crap. I admit, Command is pretty low on the tier as far as Starfox goes, but that's what happens when you either use stupid controls or change what actually worked/works.

No offense, dude, but Quest 64 wasn't anything special. It's no surprise the makers botched the sequel.
