And as much as I did like that game, I feel it was too much of a radical departure from the series norm. You'd have to go back to 2000's Person of Lordly Caliber to find the game-play that the series is known for. It was a rpg/rts mix that was as awesome as hell and hard as **** to get the best ending. And it had a good story too. Come on Square, stop milking your Final Fantasies and boot these games back up. 3) Crono Trigger - Square ![]() 2) Breath of Fire - Alright, I know some people will be very upset at me for putting this ahead of CT, but I have my reasons. While CT had a better story, better developed characters, better music, etc, I still have a soft spot for BoF because it was the first RPG series outside of the Mario games that I really cared about and pretty much jump started me into the genre. CT didn't come until afterwards, therefore, lower on my priority list. Here's hoping that Camelot (who finally decided to update my former #1 franchise on this list, Golden Sun) decides that after their next game, they'll make a new sequel to this series like they want to. 1) F-Zero - It's hard to believe that it's been 6 years since F-Zero GX came out, as it's still one of my favorites to this day. Nintendo needs to stop ignoring their hardcore fanbase and make another damn F-Zero game. We don't need a thousand Mario Galaxies and gimmicky Zelda games. Just make regular ****ing games. |

Sure, it wasn't that great, but it DID come out. Starfox Command came out a bit ago. Stop whining about some series. I'll give you Chrono Trigger, but they did atleast remake it...too bad it wasn't a great remake. Ogre Battle...fair enough. I still want to see a WiiWare remake of Quest 64 in a similar sense to Quest RPG: Brian's Journey. Or for that matter, where's this Quest 2. Yes, it was made into Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage, but that game was rather horrible in its own way(save...storyline and characterization, pretty much the exact opposite of what Quest 64 had). Everybody has series they want to return. I also want to see a direct Grid-Turned-Based Shining RPG again, not all these crappy action rpgs. Point being, don't expect it to happen. Square hasn't made a good new game in forever, don't bother with it. |

Particularly if the last effort was poor, so it feels like far longer (since a good game in a series is worth x10 over a bad game). |

I love how instead of making your own wish lists, you're all blasting mine calling me "antsy" and "whiney". If Val or someone else makes this topic, everyone jumps on the bandwagon. I hope no one here wonders why I don't post that much anymore. |

I have several single-game "series" that I really want to see again, but not much in the way of actual "series". I'd definitely go for another Chrono game, though.

I personally think both Starfox and F-Zero do need legit updates. And the CT DS version isn't a remake, it's a port with some extras. If they bothered doing even a remake for a console, fans would be stoked. I'd love it if someone would bother doing a sequel to Double Dragon Advance. That was a great update for the series, and I wish there were more games like it. I also would like a serious installment in Square's Mana series, maybe in a return to Secret of Mana's multiplayer format. I also think a new Gargoyle's Quest game would be awesome. Really, though, I'd rather people made new series in similar styles to the classics. I don't want to play the same game format forever and ever and ever.
