Thumbs up Beat Mega Man 2 in one sitting a few days ago

One of the best gaming experiences I've had in a loooooong time.

Except that crystal room boss. That sucked ass.

I think he means the boss with the turrets that must be destroyed with Crash Bombs. And those are covered by walls that need to be destroyed by Crash Bombs.

...that boss sucked.

I did this a while back too. I wanted to see how much my gaming skills have changed since the old days. I did the bosses in a completely different order than I'm used to. Started with Heat Man, went to Wood Man, etc.

Lots of fun. Back when I was younger, I always felt the need to save my special weapons, even if there was no reason to. Looking at it now, it's amazing how hard I used to make it on myself.

Thus, I think I held back on using Metal Blades... :flying:

^I usually save my weapons for no apparent reason. Depleted bars make me feel...weird.

^ I broke most of the doors, died, and came back with a full bar for Crash Bombs. Makes it a lot easier, but really, you shouldn't have to do that.

I know there's an order in which you do it so you don't run out of crash bombs. I just haven't figured it out.

^But don't the walls regenerate after you die? In which case, how does it do you any good?

They don't.

The weapons don't regenerate is the problem.

Metal blade pwns everything. I still play the original Mega Man series semi-frequently. Can't recall how many times I've beaten all of them.

It's the duct tape of Megaman weaponry, it seems.

Well, I got past the crystal room, but now I can't beat Wily. His bouncing energy balls always kill me. It's even harder because you can't move when you're throwing metal blades.

My cousin did the same thing after discovering the game on his iPhone. He then ran back to my room, started playing, and beat the game a few hours later.

It's a great game, though. Especially the music for the first part of Wily's Castle. I could listen to that all day.

Err... you kinda have to, unless you're emulating. No save, no password. Wait, I guess the collection version can save.

Anyway, you get the point.

It may make me look bad, but I always use the emulator to save in places in games. Makes it alot more easier and enjoyable.
