Same reason not a lot of people know you can outski the Snow Monster in SkiFree by pressing F.

BTW, holding certain buttons on the 2nd player controller during Mega Man 3 can freeze all enemies in the game, or cause Mega Man to jump super high/jump out of pits. You can use it to perform a glitch that causes Mega Man to have no health left but not be dead, which will render you invincible (so long as you don't pick up any health).
