Thumbs up Make your Game Boy more portable!

Now, with a giant box on a strap!

Those hand bandages sure make my gaming intense. It's too bad I lost my left arm in that pit match.

Post bizarre or outdated retro Nintendo and gaming-related pictures and ads here, at your leisure, folks.

^ That poor guy's fingers have turned into spaghetti due to the badness of the power glove, which we all know is a badness that is only describable as so.

Here's a pretty slick magazine ad for the Famicom Disk System version, aka the original release, of the Legend of Zelda. For once, I'm grateful for the hacked up NES port, because of the sweet cover art and gold cart we were treated to. I think the synths in the NES actually had an edge of the peculiar FDS/Famicom sound combination, as far as tone is concerned.

Wow. That kid looks really, really happy. I can't imagine the kind of portability issues he had to be dealing with that a mere carrying case would transport him to the level of transcendant cosmic joy he's achieved in the 'after' picture.

I always thought the Nintendo Power commercial was quite intense:

I wish I could have lived in the days when people cared about Nintendo.

Plenty of people care about Nintendo. The difference is that there's viable competition that people also care about along with it. Consoles and companies don't have pet fans anymore, but people actually view the video game companies together as one large market.

I wish that commercial was still playing today. At least it would have people laughing out of their chairs.

I made my Game Boy more potable by taking out the circuit boards and replacing it with vodka.

I agree. I mean, I like Nintendo as friends, but I'm not really sure about taking things further. I'm kind of going through a difficult time now and I don't think I'm ready for a relationship just yet.
