TMNT: The Tournament Fighters

Has anyone else played this on the SNES? Oh my gosh, it's so awesome.

More fun than Street Fighter II, actually.

I really liked the SNES game's art style. I would've preferred another street brawler, but it was an interesting detour worth a rental.

^ We should play sometime over netplay on the SNES Emulators.

Once I figure that out. Somehow. Someday. ....................

Welcome to the forum, also, what Maximum Spider said.

On-topic: I'm actually remembering a Genesis version. I might be wrong. I liked the SNES version, if only because it has cool characters. I.E. Rocksteady and Bebop.(what fighting TMNT game lacks it now?) But anyway, I haven't played it in a while. It's a lot of fun. I forget my main.(if I even had one)

Oh yeah, there was a Genesis version as well. Most prefer the Snes version, but the Genesis version had different graphics, characters, and stages. And different controls, of course.

There was an NES version, too. Here's screens from all three:

NES -

SNES -

Genesis/Mega Drive:

Visually, the Genesis version has the best contrast, but the SNES one has much more detailed backgrounds and sprites. The NES version was impressive for the system, artistically. The SNES version's direction was clearly in imitation of the Street Fighter series, although the pastel palettes were popular at the time (man, I loved them, wish more 2D games went that route).

Oddly enough, your last picture didn't work. I had no idea of an NES one, actually, heh.

Interesting. I need to find all three then. Unless the NES version has no unique characters, then it's kind of a meh point.

The problem with the Nes version is, as far as I can tell, you can't use the Turtles' weapons.
