Spanky's quest.

So a few weeks ago I was looking around a shop I know for old games when I found this: Spanky's quest.
For those of you who don't know anything about this game, or who perhaps don't immediately giggle uncontrollably like I did, allow me to explain. You play as a monkey named Spanky. Who has to defeat armies of fruit by smashing them in the face with his balls; that is to say baseballs, footballs, volleyballs and basketballs.

My question is this: was this deliberate? Did Natsume actually think to themselves 'hey, let's make a game that's one big d*ck joke!', or did that just happen accidentally? Or is it about time I picked my mind out of the gutter? Not that that last one is ever likely to happen mind.
But I digress. Does anyone else have any experience of this game, or is it just me?
