As the title suggests, name a retro game that you feel is overrated, and state why. Jet Force Gemini (N64): Not a bad game, but is dull in parts, with difficult aiming and lots of pointless wide open spaces. Also has quite ugly graphics, even by N64 standards. |

It's nearly impossible to playthrough without some psychic ability directing you to play it, and the idea of a stealth game multiplied by age equals awful and horrible. I FEEL ASLEEP! Little Nemo the Dream Master. It is fun, and a fantastic platformer. The game is too damn hard, though. If you took, oh, about 4 times as many hits it might be reasonable. Same for Ghosts 'n Goblins. Final Fantasy. Just a Dragon Warrior ripoff, no engaging gameplay. For that matter, Dragon Warrior. No engaging gameplay. Last edited by Serial Miller; 02-24-2008 at 12:36 AM. |

It's....not that special. And I'm probably going to get shot for this, but I'd have to say that Grand Theft Auto (and all of the "sequels" and "sister games" that go along with 'er) was dramatically glorified too. Just a somewhat childish excuse to be aimlessly violent. Not that violence bothers me, however; there's a certain way you CAN'T go about distributing that violence, though, and I found that Grand Theft Auto did just that. |

It didn't exactly have engaging gameplay, or a well written story (at least Final Fantasy has that going for them, sometimes). I don't think it was a bad game, I just don't feel it was up to par with the hype. |

I came in here thinking this was a new topic, and then I saw that I already posted in here a month ago, and had said then essentially the same thing I was going to say today. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

I can't possibly comprehend Double Dragon being overrated. No one ever talks about it, unless they're a huge fan of the series. | |

I mean, the battle engine is much more interactive and engaging than any other turn-based RPG I've ever played. |
