Since my Genesis has been dead for a while now...

I'm thinking of getting a new classic system. Possibly another Genesis, but I do want to actually own a SNES, so that'd probably be nice. I would like the VGF opinion on this, please.

Edit: Dammit, I forgot to add poll. But options would be SNES, NES, or Genesis.

Sega Genesis Nomad.

You know you want it. A portable Genesis which works as a home system too!

Just don't try to stick the 32x into it...

SNES. That way you can get Super Mario World and A Link to the Past. Then you'll be playing with power...Super Power!

Genesis doesn't really stand up to the list of releases for the SNES. Pretty much the only games you can't get on another system that are actually worth having are made by Sega. Being that the SNES had both superior visuals, sound, and a similar but superior library... I don't really think there's much in the way of contest. If you can get a Genesis, and you've got the cash to spare, no harm done. I wouldn't go hunting for one, myself.

So exactly how dead is it? Doesn't turn on dead, or doesn't boot any games dead?

Originally didn't play games, but now the power cord somehow got ripped.
