I have a sore throat, and before the week's over I'll probably end up throwing up. Ugh. But "ugh," could also aply to this game, because it's extremely horrible. The plot is just like every game in the series, bizzare. Normally you, "Gotta Catch em All!" This time, you, "Gotta Cath em all... on film! Camera film that is! Groovy!" If I have to say something good about this game, the graphics are good. They're nicely detailed, and a few of the pokemon have been very detailed. And there are some mighty clever things hidden here (for some reason, I love Meowth's facial expressions in this game). But graphics aren't the game... Sound is horrible. I wouldn't have hated it so much had they never decided to have pokemon say NOTHING but they're own name. and the music is choppy and boring (Normally, I enjoy Pokemon music for some strange reason. But these are horrible.). Gameplay is where the game suffers most. You run around, taking pictures of Pokemon. You occasionally have to solve a puzzle to make certain Pokemon appear, or to make taking the pokemon's picture give you extra points, which sometimes are used to unlock new stages (Or sometimes you have to solve a puzzle to make the new stage appear). The puzzles are USUALLY based on hitting a Pokemon with a pester ball, making the Pokemon eat fruit, or playing a song on your flute. Pretty simple, only in a few situations can it be difficult. In one of the better puzzles, you have to make a line of fruit for Pikachu to follow. You're supposed to guide him to an egg, and when he reaches it, you play the flute, and something happens. You'll see. The game is also disturbingly short. It doesn't have most of the better pokemon in it, and it doen't take long to get a picture of all of them. You can try to get better pictures of the Pokemon, but it gets old real fast. And worst of all, the entire reason I bother to put my Pokemon cartridge in my GBA every once in a while isn't here. You wouldn't know how much I'd give to have a picture of a Pokemon using this attack. So here's it's name, and it's not in Pokemon Snap, so don't look... Metronome. No, seriously. That was it's name. And it was invincible. When you used it, it triggered what I call... "sheer gaming brilliance." What did it trigger? I'll tell you: Completely random actions. So this Pokemon game has been stripped of Metronome's greatness, making for a poor experience. 4/10 -A Genius (Well, I thought Metronome was cool.)
