Final Fantasy VII - WOW!

I traded Gundam Battle Assault 2 for this little baby, and I've been happy since- especially with the six dollars credit!

Story - 9/10
What begins as a terrorism attack on a bunch of planet-killing reactors and a ruthless orginization later becomes a fight against an ancient evil and a man gone awry. This is the FF departure from the traditional swords, dragons, and spells story, and a more sci-fi setting, since there's a MOTORCYCLE!

Gameplay - 8/10
When I read the manual I thought this'd be like mobile suit piloting! It's not! IT'S EASY! I love it! The battles are so easy and you can choose your type of fighting; real-action like in Zelda, and so on, and instead of using JP or a drawing system, you use materia; compressed spirit energy from the planet with many different properties.

Graphics - 6.9/10
A little rackety and all, but the Tifa sprite they use when you beat your second reactor is so cute! This was made in '97, so it's no Zeonic Front, but the motorcycle scene had lots of detail, from the glass shattering to a -depending on who's playing- unecessary jiggle from Tifa. The spell effects are pretty, but 'Ice X' is repetitive.

Sound - 4/10
Yea, a four. The whistling when a spell charges up makes you wanna cringe, and the general sounds are annoying, especially the 'PFA-PFA!' when Tifa smacks something and the 'BIO~!' when Aerith hits an enemy. Barret's gun was nicely done though.

Music - 10/10
PERFECT!!! This is beautiful. The Shinra theme, as well as the rest, are all very beautiful and original. When I was in Cosmo Canyon, I felt how Video Gamer X did; like one of the last Indians on the Illinois praries years before white man took the land over; Aerith's theme and the overworld theme remind me of beauty, or my mother telling me about my cat being put to sleep; and One Winged Angel is SEXY. It's the best theme to a villain ever since the Imperial March!

Overall - 8/10
It's imperfect, but all games are; I forgive it. This is a must-buy if you don't have it!

Yea, I agree, but it's so fockin' fun!
And to me, FFIII USA/FFVI JP is the most overrated because everyone's SOOOOOO Kefka-this and so on and I wanna hit them. I think I will.

i like FF6, but i didn't like Kefka. I found him annoying.

I don't even think FF7 is fun.

I rather enjoyed this game, despite the stupid sounds and the strange graphics. (even the N64 has better character sprites, but not the cutscene sprites).

FFVII is one of the greatest RPGs, no one of the greatest games of all time.

nah, its one of the most overrated games of all time.

By saying that Marth, you're not showing whether or not you like the game, just that it's overrated. I agree, it is overrated. So is FFVI. But I still think both games rock. Just like Chrono Trigger and Ocarina of Time. Both overrated, both still insane.
