Final Fantasy Tactics - NOT THE CRAPPY ADVANCE VERSION!

Story - 10/10
URGH! I dunno where to start here! This game's so big for one disc. Well, over 1200 years ago, some dude who was said to be god's son went up to a well and- here... ...the story

Characters - 7/10
Enter Ramza; spoiled whiny boy from a distinguished family who's sent on a trip to save the world from a big bad scary demon. Well, that's not exactly it, but they're cool.

Gameplay - 8/10
Ergh. Confusing, but fun. There's a time-based turn thingy, and- oh screw it. It's fun though. Especially with 'haste' cast on your character with 'level/vertical jump 8' three times with Velius in critical.

Graphics - 6/10
ICKY FMVS!!!
I liked the rest though. The graphics are cute, and they even have official artwork for each job class, some monsters, some summons, and SOME characters. Minus Beowulf for example.

Sound - 7/10
I'll be honest: when you kill a man, he sounds like a surfer; when you kill a woman, she sounds like a mouse; when you kill a monster, it sounds like a car without a muffler- or is that Velius? ...oh well. The sounds of the spells and the 'FSHWI' - 'SHLOO!' of a lancer landing on someone at top speed and running them through is nice. Especially the panther monster's counter-sound- it's got a nice 'PLA-!' to it.

Music - 9/10
The Daravon theme is too cute! The dancer's dance music is annoying though. I really like the battle music, with the characters kicking their feet out, it reminds me of Magi-Nation's overworld- which I haven't beaten. ==;

Overall - 7¾/10
SEMI-PERFECTION! I love this game! Get it god damn you! While it has its flaws, you still should buy it someday... you won't regret it.

great game over all defeintely. my second favorite of all time, under SSBM. graphics do kinda suck, but they're fine for the type of game it is.

and whats wrong with the advance version. i think it looks great

What the... 10... 8... 6... 7... 9...? If the story (even in a RPG, I still say that the story is insignificant compared to gameplay) is the only thing that's "perfect," why did this game get a perfect ten? I mean, I realize that you probably aren't averaging it or anything, but if it has all those flaws, why?

-A Genius (And if you dislike the Advance version because it's reclycled gameplay (I haven't played it yet, but I figure that it might be an issue), then I'm inclined to agree with you. If it's because it's "kiddy," then get a life.)

Velius is bloody hard, he's even harder than Sephiroth in KH. Arch Angel's supposed to be hard? Anyway, good review.

What's this about how the advance version was crappy? Probably the races, which is what killed it. But I haven't played FFTA, so I'm not gonna take place in this argument.
