| Guest Posts: n/a | Okay... my first review! Let's get cracking! We all are waiting for Wario action. Wario World's been delayed for almost a year. Wario Land 4 is ancient. Nintendo solves our hunger with this game. Not classic Wario gameplay, but it has Wario, and that works for me! Storyline Simple story, but who cares? Wario, picking his nose on his couch, sees a commercial saying that video games are huge money-makers these days. Obviously fulfilling his greed, he decides to start his own compony called Wario Ware. Each employee has their own "mini-story", but I won't spoil those for you peoples. 6/10 Graphics The cutscences in this game could be a bit better, but in the games, you can't look at graphics, because you have 5 seconds. Some graphics are GBC-GBA quality, while some are even NES quality. But I don't give a crap about graphics, except if they are totally horrible for their system. 8/10 Gameplay Now here is where Wario Ware really shines. Each character has their own theme. Wario has a boombox, the disco guy has a cell phone, etc. Each character has games matching their personality. the disco dude has sports games and the cat and dog have sci-fi games, to name a few. The games are, to put in one sentance, a 5-second frenzy. They give you one word for directions, and then BAM! you're in the game! For example, one of my favorites was on Wario's boombox. The instructions say "JUMP!", and you have squish a goomba in the 5 seconds, ala Super Mario Brothers. The games can be odd at times, some repeat themselves, and eventually you have a 3-second time limit. Oh, you have 5 lives. Spend them all, you can start over, or quit. The bosses are very fun, and some are quite new and puzzling (Thinks Punch-out boss) 10/10 Replayability These games almost seem to NEVER get old, which is always fun, and the 2-player games you can sometimes play on one GBA! For example, you have to suck up 100 pieces of stuff before a friend. You use the L or R button. Very fun, indeed. 9/10 Conclusion I don't own this game per se (I LOVE YOU TARGET) but with the stuff I've played, I can tell this game would be a total hoot to own! Score: 9/10 Guys, feel free to tell me if you liked this review or not, so I can make improvements. |
