FF Tactics review- updated (and given a fairer rating...)

Story - 7/10
I feel bad giving it this, but the ending and a few unexplained things are what hit me.
I played for a year, constantly re-starting thanks to Velius, and sucky stats (I'm a proud twink), and have beaten it only now. The plot twists are cool and all, more twists and turns than all of MacGyver combined, but you know who's got what coming. Ramza starts out as a lamer daddy's-boy moron, but he starts maturing and thinking for himself. By the end of chapter four, he's as brash as Wiegraf, minus being a jerk. The ending I don't wanna go into, due to the spoilers and the fact that it SUCKED.

Characters - 9/10
I say that the best-worked character next to Ramza ( no. I think the best-worked is Kletian. e.e; ) has to be Gafgarion. Not only is he a jerk, but he's also the only person who's aware of everything going on before Ramza, but decides to play ass-kisser to both sides. He's kinda like Cima Garahau in a way, minus being cute, having green hair, or piloting a mobile suit- y'know, making bets on all the horses and pissing everyone else off.

Music - 8/10
Lotsa mixed music and stuff, but it's nontheless good. The final battle theme was good, as were the Lucavi fight ones, but I didn't get to hear them through since I'm too tough and they're such stick-figures.

Sound - 6/10
The death cries are annoying, but those ones in Riovanes are funny. The sounds are also pretty annoying, but this is an RPG, so the sound has to be annoying! ^_^

Gameplay - 10/10
This is where the game shines. People ask me how I can play the game since all they're familiar with is FFVII's inferior system, but I breeze through it. I can go on and on and on about this, but there's so much to cover! It looks hard at first, but that's what 'tutorial' is for.

Replay - 4/10
Yep. Make a back-up before you go to Orbonne for the last battles, since you can't go back. ( good thing I did! ) The propositions, twinking, being able to fight without Orlandu, and getting alotta poached items is a bonus, but can you get all the Zodiac stones? Serpentarius? The Deep Dungeon items? The good ones?

Overall - 7¾/10
Semi-perfect. It has flaws, but hell. All games do. ( I don't like the look the people at the Xeno-table are giving me. [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) I think I twinked too fast though. I'm sure as hell not running through everything again though! This is as close to perfect as I say a game gets before me devoting my life to it.

nice review.

personally I'd give it higher rating in the story though. Music and sound i couldn't care less since i barely see those as a factor. Gameplay is defintely accurate. Replay i'd give a little higher too, and i'd make the overall score around a 9.5

I personally thought Altima was too easy.
My ninja was also a factor though... so was my priest. They're so good! ^_^ *huggles*
