Normally, in reviews like these, I'd open with how the N64 is a terrible system and so and so, so instead I'll talk about Phantasy Star! Phantasy Star rules!

Anyway, as you probably know, Zelda is the game series which stars Link. The title character, Zelda, never actualy appears. Sort of like Life of Wily. That comic has to be the best Bob and George clone of all time. Anyway, most people say that this is the best Zelda game ever made, but I think that anyone that likes this more than the overhead games is stupid.

That sentence needs adjusting.

If you liked it more than Link's Awakening, that's fine. That one sucked. I'll also excuse the original. Heck, I'll even throw Capcom's Seasons and Oracles games! But if you liked it more than A Link to the Past, you're stupid. Unless you didn't like A Link to the Past, in which it's okay.

And it was probably a good idea to mention Lttp, because while OoT introduces some great ideas, most of it is just playing LttP over again. Lack of originality, in short. There's a big similarity in story layout, and if you can't see the resemblance between Light/Dark World and the Time Traveling of Ocarina, THEN you're stupid.

Which is a real shame, because OoT had a lot of good concepts. This game introduced the "lock on" system. Press Z to lock on to an enemy, and all your attacks will be focused on that enemy. A little confusing at times, but it beats trying to beat the game without it.

The other thing worth mentioning here is the games key item. The Ocarina of Time. As a musician, I enjoyed just playing around with it. It's hard to really stress how cool the thing is in a paragraph, so you'll have to see it for yourself. The Ocarina of OoT was never really reproduced in Majora's Mask or the Wind Waker (Which is actually my only big problem with WW).

The music is a mixed bag. Some of it was good, some bad. The graphics were great, however. The best the N64 can manage.

Replay Value is low, unfortunetely. I saw no real reason to play the game again. Sometimes, I'l play around with the ocarina, but that's about it.

Gameplay: 7/10
Sound/Music: 7/10
Graphics: 9/10
Replay Value: 5/10
Overall: 7/10

To finish, had it not taken from LttP so much, it would've achieved a higher score. MM was original, but it had it's own probalems. If you want 3-d Zelda, I recomend WW.

So im stupid because i enjoyed playing OoT more than LttP?

plot isn't why i play zelda games. I play them because they are simply fun.

Don't almost all the zelda games have basically the same story anyway?

Plot really isn't why I play ANY games whatsoever. I just felt like I was doing a lot of the same stuff I did in LttP. And frankly, I don't think Ocarina even COMPARES with LttP.

Although, if I were you, I wouldn't think much about the "IF YOU LIKE OOT MORE TEHN LTTP TEHN U R SUXX0RS" (which is essentially what I said) comment. It was meant as a joke. You probably have perfectly normal intelligence no matter which you like better.

-A Genius (Most N64 games flail in comparison to their SNES counterparts.)

I was gonna yell, "f*ck j00 lol!" like a n00b might say, but I'm not mad. It's alright if you have an opinion, I respect that, so I won't say, "f*ck j00 lol" at you.
